"more of an equalized bounce than a crush' -makes the cars more salvageable than completely totaled. A computer chip when felt a large amount of frontal force should also make the wheels come to a complete stop no matter how hard the gas pedals are pushed.

Steve PennyI test drove the S series P100D last Sunday in Calgary, Alberta. Wow... what a life altering experience, and I mean that completely; LIFE ALTERING. I've always been a sports car and horsepower enthusiast. All the sounds, smells and adrenaline rush that go with owning a powerful/fast vehicle have always kept me smiling. Tesla has COMPLETELY made me rethink what I love about cars. That car IS THE FUTURE. 80% less moving parts, the 'Ludicrous' and immediate speed, the full autopilot and summon functions, the luxurious interior, the comfort... THE SILENCE ... I currently own a very powerful, fast car and have owned MANY sports cars over the years, nothing compares to this Tesla, nothing. The most amazing car that I have ever had the pleasure to drive, I couldn't stop smiling! I will own one in the near future. Bravo...

Terri RogersBonnet's need more stability and impact force distribution by adding a very specific spray on the frame during the dip coat process. The Frunk could use a non-flammable retardant cushion surround the battery and other components to prevent fires or compact explosions. The glass also needs to shatter differently so improve the type of glass to shatter and divert impact force away from the passage and drivers side to the edges and rim of the window while still being able to shatter from pressure when underwater. www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNRPTsD0BLE

Joe RosemanIn a world full of corruption, where peoples' tragedy becomes the "fortune" of others, who most certainly lack sympathy, long live Elon Musk, for the selfless decision of updating Tesla vehicle's system (over-the-air), AT NO COST, making possible to extend the miles coverage of Tesla owner's cars in Florida, so they could go farther during the Irma hurricane. In many other countries this could have been an opportunity to overcharge. This simple gesture may have passed unoticed by most people who don't own a Tesla (I don't own one), but sure raises desire to possess anything built with such spirit of sympathy. There are many moments and events in which we get to know the essence of people and, critical moments, like Tropical Storms, at least allow us to unveil some good faces. Elon Musk, in name of elegance, tenderness, intelligence and entreprenuership and (mostly) human values, even though I'm just a John Doe, I would like to thank and congratulate you for the roads you've chosen to pave so far.

Robert BernalI'm curious as to what the energy stored on energy invested is for Tesla's batteries. Lots of people think that batteries require more energy to make than it's worth. I believe that Tesla has already figured out how to make them using less energy. I don't want the amount of carbon dioxide used, because that'll be reduced in the future, anyways. What I want is like kWh of energy in for a kWh of storage (and how many cycles expected). Thanks in advance, Robert.

Which brought the Magnetic Field into the first cell of life, wrapped with a hydrophilic membrane, a lipid, from the thermal vents at the bottom of the ocean... This is for real... The picture shows how this process happened... It's great...! Make these kind of batteries too Elon...

Bill AdamsShares of Tesla dropped 3.5 percent on Monday after Chief Executive Elon Musk warned that the electric carmaker would face “manufacturing hell” as it ramps up production of its new mass-market Model 3 sedan. At a launch event on Friday, Musk said customers had made over half a million advance reservations for the Model 3 as he handed over the first 30 cars to employee buyers, setting the stage for a major test of Tesla’s strategy to become a profitable electric car maker. Tesla is counting on the Model 3 to help turn the cash-losing company into a profitable one and transform it from a niche player to a heavyweight in the automobile industry. Investors already skeptical of Tesla’s aggressive growth targets focused on a warning by Musk that early production would be challenging.

Vanessa Dudley ChinOnly thing I'm wondering is if there is a way to carry extra battery life with you like an extra cell phone battery pack? I need that in my life because I sometimes to forget to charge mine at home. Other than this, service has been great and I love driving the X!

Serhii KonovalovTalking about service. I have been given $10'000 bill to fix a dent on my car by approved Tesla bodyshop. I'm still in shock. This is the side of the Tesla experience you only find when you need a repair. Very sad

Giovanni RubioThis frustrates me a bit, I have trying to to get in to #Tesla for 2 years now. I am big fan of the technology, the culture.. just everything in general. But like Elon said once "if something is important enough you should try it-- even if failure is the possible outcome." #notgivingup

Keith RodgersMobile service vans is an excellent idea ! It does away with a lot of overheads , eg no need for service workshops. Interesting how they have no dealership network prefering to keep control of that too.

Jennifer Laws BarkerI bent a falcon wing $3000. The real issue isn't always the cost of the repair, it's the time it takes for your local tesla certified collision center to get in parts. That falcon wing thing put me out of my car for 5 weeks

Jeniffer Epelstein SimonichYou need to add service centers on the 99 corridor. The closest ones to me are over a THREE hour drive. Have had the car for two years and have been in service centers at least NINE times. It really sucks to have a min of 5 hr round trip to get car serviced

Mike KobbPlease increase capacity by more than 3X. I've experienced very long waits for appointments in the Bay Area, where Teslas are very popular. With Model 3 coming, you're going to have lots of customers!

Mike HoffmanService? Just don't crash. The dirty little secret of Tesla is their repairs and body work are outsourced, you have to sign a document stating "repairs may exceed 6 months". I was an early adopter of the Model S and a repeat customer currently on my second one - 90D with Auto-pilot and all the goodies. We had an accident in April and the shop told us today it is finally on the rack being stripped down and we can expect it to be finished the end of September. As soon as I get it back, it is gone. #goodbyetesla

Albert RetodoThey will need to add the extra service centers when the model 3's start going on the streets. Over the past approximately 3 years with influxes of model S's and X's, there has been a big difference in availability at superchargers, ability to get in for appointments at your local service center, and the ability when your car is being serviced, to get a Tesla loaner car vs getting your standard Benz, Bimmer, Cadillac, or Lexus. The infrastructure is at a crossroads...Now, if my car needs service, I only take it to the Fremont factory as you can get in a lot quicker, and it is actually in line with my commute path.

Nick JohnsonTo all those moaning about wait times and costs- that's the price you paid when you decided to be an early adapter. This is a single company trying to change the world- but it won't happen overnight- and neither will your door get fixed in 2 days. Once this is scaled, and even thrown into the mix of healthy competition on the market- then you'll see prices drop, faster and faster innovation, etc. Though Tesla will be at the forefront of that advancement, at least it's my thought they will.

Nick GrantPart of the appeal for me is less maintenance, and electric vehicles have way less parts that can break -- so while fast service is great, I'd rather the focus be on production quality that keeps this kind of stuff less than necessary
